A stone relief on the side of the Chen Family Temple

A cute kid. What you can't see in the picture is his back side, which reveals split pants, the Chinese solution to the problem of dirty diapers. (Watch your step!)

An ivory sculpture. It is about 5 feet long and very detailed.

 

When the Chinese build or repair a building, they tend to surround it with a huge bamboo skeleton. Here, the building is on the right side of the picture. Yes, there is a building behind all that bamboo!

 

I guess someone ran out of paper because 

they wrote a small document on this grain 

of rice (viewed through a magnifying glass).
