Clay Creatures

Polymer clay is great fun. You bake it and it turns into a sort of plastic. This kind even remains flexible. Caroline even got into it a bit. She made the cow!

ClayBraces.jpg (17037 bytes)

Caroline got braces while I was still in the clay modeling mode. This highly-detailed piece is dedicated to her, with regret for all the discomfort of the next two years.

Diddl Sketch

Diddl is a German cartoon character that is Caroline's favorite. This is a sketch I made with watercolor pencils.

 Puppets

Most of the puppets are made from foam carved with razor blades and thousands of clips of scissors (one of the most effective ways I know to cramp up your hand!) Beaker is the exception, made from an old Oat Meal box. His nose is still carved foam. All this foam-carving experience came in handy to put together the Chip Wall in our computer room.
